Friday
Depart Leyland at 10.00hrs for our journey to Redworth Hall Hotel with a lunch stop in Barnard Castle en-route with time to explore and obtain lunch, re-join the coach at 14.30hrs to continue our journey to the hotel. Arrive to a warm welcome with tea/coffee and biscuits while your case is taken to your room.
Saturday
Following a leisurely breakfast our excursion today takes us to Auckland Castle, the proud home of the Bishops of Durham, a magnificent example of the best-preserved Bishops' Palace in Europe. Enjoy free time to explore the festively decorated castle and staterooms designed to lead you on a journey of the life and times of the Bishops who lived here. Included in our visit is entry to the architecturally beautiful faith museum which opened in 2024.
Sunday
Today's excursion takes us to Beamish, the Living Museum of the North. Step back in time and experience Christmases from days gone by as Beamish comes alive with twinkly lights and festive magic. Take journeys around the site on complimentary vintage transport with lots of opportunities to obtain drinks and a bite to eat in authentic hostelries and cafes.
Monday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for our journey home with a lunch stop in Harrogate en-route, enjoy time to obtain lunch and perhaps do some Christmas shopping before re-joining the coach at 14.00hrs to continue our journey home.
